- The feature event is the classic marathon distance of 26.2 miles. There is also a 100k ultramarathon and a half-marathon race if there is sufficient interest.
- Polar Running Adventures reserves the right to refuse entry to the race if an intending participant is deemed unsuitable for the event.
- Registration covers entry to all three events.
- Individual results for all three competitions will be categorised into male and female divisions.
- Athletes have a choice of wearing snowshoes or regular running shoes (or can avail of both options during the course of the race) unless the Race Director deems otherwise prior to travelling. There will be no divisions based on equipment.
- Any athlete who exhibits severe conditions that are deemed detrimental to their health may be withdrawn from the race by officials or stopped temporarily while appropriate treatment and advice is administered.
- A time limit of 24 hours may be imposed on the 100km race.
- The Race Director's decisions are final.
Your submission of this form accepts the Rules and Regulations as outlined above. The overall fee is US$15,750, which can be paid in full on registering. Alternatively, entrants can make an initial deposit of US$5,000 to reserve their place in the field. A further US$10,750 payment is required by September 1st 2008. Please note: there is currently a limit of 25 participants on the trip.

- You must later complete and return a medical information form, personal information form, waiver form, and terms & conditions form provided by the logistics operators, Antarctic Logistics & Expeditions / Adventure Network International.

The Antarctic Ice Marathon race is scheduled to take place on December 12th 2008.
The 80 South half Marathon will take place on December 13th 2008 (if sufficient interest).
The Antarctic 100k will begin on December 15th 2008.
