Antarctic 100k receives IAU label for 2012 Race
The Antarctic 100k has been awarded the bronze label of the International Association of Ultrarunners (IAU) for 2012. The award is reserved for accurately measured and monitored trail and mountain races. The 100k remains the only ultra race in the Antarctic recognised by the IAU for record purposes.
The Ice Marathon & 100k are the southernmost official marathon and ultramarathon races on earth, respectively, and the only ones that take place within the Antarctic Circle and the interior of the continent.
