Paul Robinson runs historic Antarctica Mile

November 25, 2017

On November 25th, Ireland's Paul Robinson ran an astounding time of 4 mins 17.9 seconds for 1 mile at Union Glacier camp, Antarctica.

The elite sub 4-minute miler certainly ran in sub 4 temperatures , -4F to be precise, or -20C. The underfoot terrain was not conducive to fast running, but the Irishman made the most of it by clocking the fastest mile ever recorded in Antarctica.

The event was operated in conjunction with the annual Antarctic Ice Marathon.
